Clam Rake How Far Into The Water Do You Go To Rake For Clams? (Cockles)?

How far into the water do you go to rake for clams? (Cockles)? - clam rake

I've heard that you rake cockles only (a type of shells that) under the sand.

I find no information on how they go computing, and to what extent the water to catch a success. People said that simply using a metal rake to see a few inches on a beautiful day for a few. Seems simple enough.

You have to go deep into the waves to get fried clams?

I already have a license. Oh, and as you are legally allowed to a certain day? 15 as the knife? or more, because they are smaller?

Thanks in advance!

Found in limestone, which are usually in rocky areas at low tide. Blade works better than a rake. after moving a few stones, to dig under them. Here, fifty years is the limit with the size and boundaries. to examine their own rules for the local fishery. the surf, Pismo, the flood in at least without too deep. There are racks and special limits for them too.

IM, where I can not rake them .. I mean, I can .. but never the opportunity. As if my uncle house in Connecticut, they usually go with the tide into the water waist deep. and generally it on a sand bank as well.
